That was about the best it will get. The gatekeepers at San Antonio Airport seemed almost like it was a routine occurrence. I was sure glad it didn't happen in San Diego!! Those idiots, who missed it outbound, would have hit the panic button for sure! I didn't miss my flight, partly because we were there plenty early, but the FAA did demand $200 to forget about it. I'm sure I am on a list somewhere now.
I know of several who have left pistols in bags, etc., inadvertence, but very costly. It is not something you want to be casual about.
