Re: Ted Cruz

His keynote speech at CPAC is a masterpiece, 35 minutes, no notes, no teleprompter, standing ovation to abolish the Department of Education, Keystone pipeline, foreign aid to nations that hate us, stand with Israel, and much much more!

"Do we surrender, or do we stand up now?"

But he seemed to be the lesser of 2 evils (an unknown with very little political experience vs Dewhurst: an entrenched politico who seems to have undergone a gradual shift in political philosophy away from the conservative values that I favor). I can honestly say that I'm very pleasantly surprised by Senator Cruz's first few months in office & I hope that he keeps it up. When the old-guard GOP rinos are getting their panties in a wad about what he's doint, I think he's on the RIGHT track. I only wish that John Cornyn's seat were up in the cycle after next instead of 2014 so that Ted Cruz would have a chance to establish more seniority. But since Cornyn has seemed to take notice, it's not all bad.
I hear what you are saying but Sen. Cornyn is not the problem, Feinstein and her ilk are, Schumer, Durbin, Leahy, et al. I think he will be less of a problem going forward now that Cruz and Rand have unleashed themselves to great support and attention.

Ted Cruz

You locals might have already seen this, or similar stories and be familiar with the information and views but I ran across this article this afternoon, and am overjoyed to read about this fine young man, and contemplate his potential for Texas and the country in the years ahead.
