Well, Grapevinebill, I don't know what to say except....PLASTIC! Hang in there! Man this has been one heck of a long, stressful journey. Good luck and I can't wait for Saturday!!!

Mahzik, I probably checked mine 10 times an hour. Kind of like grass growing...and lately, well...

This will not make Carl or Bill feel any better, but I'm still checking the mail for my plastic. Twice a day. My XD .45 compact is here, but I'm not going to pick it up until my plastic is in hand.

You could always email them too. That stinks, but I ran into the same. I don't think you can do anything to speed them up, but unfortunately you might cause them to slow down. Hang in there.

Grapevinebill, after my NICS denial I started the CHL process and had everything completed and accepted at DPS except for sending in the class certificate, CHL-100. I sent the CHL-100 in a week before NICS granted my appeal. DPS rec'd the CHL-100 on Sept 6 and Sept 16 I'm in mailed status. I feel like my NICS appeal cleared the way for a speedy processing since everything else was approved.

Mine never budged from manufacturing and I check it way too often. Interesting. I'm not complaining though.

Thanks. I have nothing but praise for DPS. It was a long agonizing wait on the NICS appeal, but it cleared the way for the DPS background check to complete so fast. I won't have to bother with that again!
