Re: Delay in the DPS website

Just posted on the "manufacturing 2+ weeks" thread--mine also arrived today, postmarked 27th, still reads Manufacturing. Trying to talk myself out of continuing the vigilance to see the DPS website update.

Re: at manufacturing 2+ weeks

Plastic arrived today! Site still shows Manufacturing; postmarked 27th (I'm in Houston). Final: 31 days, mailbox-to-mailbox

Off-work tonight through Tuesday afternoon--I'll be "walking" all weekend. :txflag:

Re: at manufacturing 2+ weeks

How long was yours in manufacturing for? Fourteen or fifteen business days. Honestly, I expected the whole thing to take about a month--what caught me by the eyelids was that First Update thru Manufacturing took 72-98hrs. I was on-pace to be in the Two Week Club. I really shouldn't have cracked-wis...

Re: at manufacturing 2+ weeks

OWH: I just got off the phone with DPS (I happened to be cooking while on hold and doubt it's coincidence that they finally took my call at the very moment my 15 minute timer rang). They said my CHL was issued today, but the site still shows Manufacturing. I'm in Houston, so my license may very well...

Re: at manufacturing 2+ weeks

My situation/time frame is identical, and I'd really like to know what's going on. I emailed earlier this week and got a form reply stating "10-14 days" for manufacturing. Peculiar.

Let's both call on Monday and reconvene here.

Skiprr--You were hot on my heels, as per usual. I have one on the way--even managed to resist buying the 220 body, so as not to issue a de facto challenge to myself re filling said body before the time is right.

Re: Glock 26: High Noon IWB vs Minotaur

Good info--thanks for that.

Come to find out, I should have taken a more recent look at the Comp-Tac site before running my mouth: The Chestnut MTAC is on sale through the end of July :woohoo , so even if I later decide one another IWB holy grail, I'll be ordering one of those puppies straightaway.

Glock 26: High Noon IWB vs Minotaur

My plastic should be along in the next couple of weeks, and I'm already interested in trying some new holsters. My EDC (initially, and for at least 3-4 months while I get used to CHL) is a G26, and I'm currently using a Don Hume IWB in this style: http://www.donhume.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...

Re: June Class

I'm still at manufacturing - I'm starting to think my ugly mug won't adhere to the plastic or something - it's going on for 7 business days now in the manufacturing stage :headscratch We must have the same processor: Mine went to Manufacturing either the day before yours or same day. Still no movem...

Re: I promised myself I'd remain calm

Just wait until they post "Mailed" and it takes you a while to figure out they only mail one day a week and they posted mailed the day they mailed out that week, but AFTER the mail had gone out so you get to wait a week. :biggrinjester: Don't "shoot the messenger", just warning ...

Re: I promised myself I'd remain calm

Outwardhound-- I'm not really too freaked-out--I was very fortunate that my background and paperwork cleared so quickly . . . which also served to get my hopes up on the overall speed. Which is not to say that I won't be pacing the floor if my plastic spends the next two weeks in Manufacturing. Mayb...

Mr. VB: Sure enough not. I don't particularly remember where I learned not to do that, though . . . I probably just watched too many movies.

Re: New Glock 26 and pulling left

I made it back to the range this afternoon, and things went extremely well. The G26 and I made our peace. There was probably an immediate 30% improvement in overall accuracy. I fired the usual 200 rounds and, when grouping was my goal, I had acceptable (for a week-old relationship with a new gun) gr...
