"I wouldn't admit on the Internet to being an accessory to felon in possession." First of all, I'm hardly an accessory to a felon in possession. And how do you know that I haven't already called DPS? I don't think somebody *smart* enough to admit they lied and broke the law to get a CHL permit should be carrying a gun, for many reasons, felony conviction aside. Also, yes, to the person who asked, it was a serious question.
Thanks to all of you who actually answered the question or gave serious input. To the person who suggested I live in the ghetto and should move...really?

CHL using somebody else's personal info...possible?
My neighbor just walked across the street, shirtless, with a 9mm in his waistband and mentioned that he got his CHL. Strange, because he was convicted of a felony drug charge as a teenager and has talked before about not being able to get his CHL (dear wife buys guns for him). When asked, he said that he used his dad's personal information and they issued the permit. Is that possible? Seriously? I understand you might be able to pass off a name (which may or may not be the same/similar) and address, but this dude does not look like a 70 year old guy. He would have submitted photographs. He would have provided fingerprints. I call Barbra Streisand on that...what says the group?
