Yes, that is true, but as we are taught, "concealed is concealed"

Accidents happen. I was just pointing out his job could be at stake if a mistake was made and someone found out. Is that not reasonable?

If it does not meet the criteria, it does not meet the law and thus invalid

If you find it is indeed invalid, then DONT TELL anyone or they may make if valid!

Keep in mind there are two issues, legal and employment. Even if the sign is not technically compliant, the OP can still be fired if found out.

I don't think we should advocate breaking the law and it's against forum rules to do so. Therefore you need to consider your options.

1. Get another job.

2. Work to convince management they are making people more vulnerable and they should remove the sign and allow employees to carry.

3. Convince them to improve security in your area.

4. A combination of the above.

I'm sure there are other reasonable legal options available. If you do decide to ignore the sign, be prepared to deal with the potential consequences.
