The Alien Registration number is printed on the Certificate of Naturalization. DPS only needs the AR# but if you sent them a copy of your passport, it's fine. The reasons being not everyone has their passport and it's unlawful to make copies or photographs of the Certificate of Naturalization.TexasGuy wrote:I have no more Alien Registration #. When I got citizenship, I was explicitly instructed never to use it again since it is no longer part of my identity. Once you surrender the green card, that is it, it no longer applies to you.

Re: Just sent out, waiting.
Nah??? If you sent them the scans f your passport, that's great. They only need the Alien Registration number so I just wanted to mention it.TexasGuy wrote:Nah, I sent them my US Passport scans. From status it seems they have accepted it as proof. Just curious if that would put my background research through extra databases if I was naturalized.

No, as long as you gave them your Alien Registration number. A friend of mine came from South Vietnam and it took him only 28 days mailbox to mailbox last year.

Sorry to hear you and some other folks have to wait that long. My BG check took only 5 days then.outwardhound wrote:...or if you have my luck, it'll be a few weeks for manufacturing For your sake, I hope you do get it quick, cause it's causing me to go insaneSunny45 wrote:Congrats!
With a clean record, BG check would only take a few days. Then another "few days" for CHL in Manufacturing Pending then Mailed and finally, Wally Walk.
