Does anyone have info on ranges and classroom facilities to use in the Austin area? I'm Stationed out of town, but just n...

San Antonio Ranges and class area

Hey everyone, I will be in the San Antonio area from 26 Jan-15 Feb and my friends, family, and ex-classmates would like for me to teach a CHL class to them. Is there a range and class area that can be available for me to teach at? I'm stationed in El Paso and I usually teach out there. I don't know ...

Re: Deaf Students

Chas,

I agree. After looking at what some signers were requiring to be paid, I would actually be PAYING for this guy and about 5 or more of his buddies to attend. LOL. Still looking at what I can do, though.

Deaf Students

I've recently had contact with a person that is Deaf and wanted to know if I could accommodate him as he states that several instructors in the area have turned him away due to the cost of services to get this accomplished. This person actually did some leg work and found an agency that will supply ...

Re: How do I find students for my CHL classes?

I would go to USPS.COM and look at the option of doing a "mailer" to certain Zip Codes. I did it and it worked out GREAT! I have a guy in town here that creates full color, glossy, and double sided 5x7 postcard mailers with the postal code on the other side. He charged me $175 for 1000 of ...

Re: Ranges Don't like New Instructors

I'm WAY out here in El Paso and something that worked for me is the MARY KAY ladies... If you can find the place where the local Mary Kay Cosmetics ladies actually get trained and meet every so often and offer them free Basic Pistol or CHL courses, you'll hit paydirt! I taught the senior instructor ...

Re: Fingerprints and lack thereof....

So, should I just take his prints physically and send them out myself? I'm gonna have to go talk to them and get the whole story, but L1 seems to think that they cant even take his prints. Thanks for the help.

Fingerprints and lack thereof....

I have a situation that I didn't know how to address and I figured some of you guys (Especially Chas) out there would have the answer. I have a gentleman that would love to enroll in my CHL Course coming up, but he says that he has an issue that he's run into before. He stated that he was in an acci...

Re: TexasCHLforum Instructors' Conference

Skiprr,

I won an award and didn't know it? LOL. Right when we started the whole thing, Charles brought up that someone actually drove from El Paso to Houston to attend the conference...Yep, that was me! It was a fun lil trip, though. Definitely got a lot of quiet time!
