A couple of years ago I objected to Bellesiles' infamous work of fiction's presence on the shelves of my city's library. I was somewhat rudely told that, even though the book had been proved to be untruthful to say the least, they felt that it was primarily opinion and removing it would be a violation of the author's First Amendment rights.
