I don't believe they have any reason to need a copy of either my DL or my CHL, and the copy of the CHL goes beyond endangering the privacy of personal information, it borders on revealing to people, that don't need to know, that I carry.

I don't carry two forms of photo ID with me, beyond my CHL, and I doubt that many do, so I have to wonder about the reasoning behind the requirement.

I think I might have gotten insistent about him either turning the copy over to me or destroying it.
