Ah, sorry. I assumed since you said you mailed them in meant that you didn't do L-1. I didn't send my document I got from L-1 in and everything went through fine. They were sent electronically to the DPS I assume.
They did tell me after I got mine done that if they didn't go through that they would re-do them for no extra charge if that's any consolation.

Re: July 2011 Applications
As of March 11, you have to submit your prints electronically through L-1. See http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administra ... ntInfo.htmCarl in Katy wrote:Is anybody familiar with WHY the fingerprints would not be received when I am sure I included them when I mailed the packet? Has anybody had this happen to them?
Surprised your instructor didn't say anything about this...

PLASTIC!!! Woohoo!!
It was sitting in my mailbox right next to my new Crossbreed. What are the odds they both come in on the same day. :)

Mailed!!
Good thing I have next week off to wait for it to come in.
14 days from the day I mailed it in to the day they mailed it out. That's much faster than I expected. In fact I'm still waiting for my Crossbreed. Should I pick up another holster to use until it comes in? If so what's a decent cheap IWB for a Ruger SR9c?

Re: July 2011 Applications
Cool, thanks for the heads up. I guess it may be worth looking into getting another holster until my Crossbreed comes in.johnson0317 wrote:CrossBreed is running about six weeks +. My MiniTuck, which I recently received, took 49 days. Worth the wait.
On an unrelated note, I've got psoriasis that has affected the prints on a few of my fingers. When I got printed at L-1 they all went fine except for my left thumb which has lost about %50 of the print. After trying it 3-4 times it finally got a passing score. The lady at L-1 said that they should take it, but I'm a little nervous that they'll kick it back.
Does anyone have any experience with the DPS/FBI, L-1 printing and damaged/worn fingerprints? I'm not sure how picky they are on this but the fingerprint machine did give it a passing score.

Wow, that's impressive. Hopefully Crossbreed can make/ship my holster before the permit arrives.McJingles wrote:Mine just mailed out Friday. It took them about a week after they received all the paperwork.

July 2011 Applications
I'm new here, but I guess that won't stop me from starting the July "Waiting" thread.
I took my CHL class Saturday (7/9/11) and put it in the mail later on that day.
What have the wait times been lately?
Looking forward to being involved with the community here!
