Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?

The Kurth Library in Lufkin has text on the door prohibiting firearms and the text refers to section 30.05! It does not include the 30.06 language. Is it even possible, by definition, to trespass on public property? Of course it is. However, it is a defense under 30.05 if the reason for the prohibi...

Re: has anyone renewed yet, 9/1/13

I just checked my credit card online and the charge for renewal is there. I was a bit put off when I got the checklist page after the payment page and it still had languag...

Re: Kimball art museum posted?

I was in the Kimbell for the Caravaggio exhibit right after the first of the year. There is a non-compliant (30.06) notice on the entrance (the "rear" entrance... the only one in use because the main entrance is closed for the expansion construction.) I had seen that sign before so, even t...

Re: Will Harris County Sheriff sign Form 4?

So what is the ball park price for legal fees to create a trust such as this? A simple one for family purposes, not a business operation. Edwin Walker of Walker Rice and Wisdom (who have the [Pre-paid legal service] program) mentions $299 as the cost for setting up a trust. See this link http://arc...

Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?

The Lufkin library has a notice containing a reference to section 30.05, which is the statute on trespassing. Isn't it impossible to trespass at a public building? I think there may have been some legal rulings on that. As a rule, I have not gone any building with any kind of pistol denial warning e...

That was the full press release from Senator Hegar's office.

I think EVERYONE on this forum ought to email him to thank him and his co-sponsors for their legislative work at this website http://www.senate.state.tx.us/75r/senat ... .htm#Press
