Thanks
The "returning the old license" is obsolete anyway, since the whole distinction between semiauto and revolver went away.

Question about OC group and Chipotle
A friend of mine asked an interesting question and I didn't see it as any part of the other discussions. Since TABC shows Chipotle as as 'Gun Sign Blue", Is it possible the group members in attendance committed a felony by bringing long guns into the establishment? Inquiring minds would like to...

Re: Poll, PC 30.06 in "Private Businesses"
I used to believe that "business" could do whatever it wants on private property, but after a lot of thought, I have decided that is an anarchistic position that has no place in civilized society. First, it is legal for the state, via power given to it by the people, to regulate business ...

Re: Dallas LEO shooting video raises question's
My concern here relates to who will conduct the investigation, how the investigation will be conducted, and will it be transparent. The DPS cavity search incident comes to mind. There wasn't doing to be much of an investigation until a civil lawsuit was filed and the media got involved. Same could h...

Re: Reason you decided to get CHL ?
Someone might remind me the Yorkie is legally considered "property" and I can't use force to protect her. The policeman I talked to about the report reminded me that if I shot the dog, he was attacking ME, not the Yorkie. As I understand it: You can use force to protect your property in T...

Re: Oil or Grease
I get blank stares when I tell people what I use to lube my guns. Mobil 1, or any other full synthetic motor oil in a 10W30 or better range. The higher the heavy viscosity, the better. For grease buy a can of quality auto wheel bearing grease. Synthetic grease is preferred. What do I use? I use Mob...

Re: Sig 938 rental - not
if you're ever in the NW Hou area i'd be glad to let you try mine at our local range. They really are a great gun for concealed carry. you will not find a smaller, lighter, well made 9mm in a single stack for it's round capacity. it's round capacity to me is the only hindering factor at 6+1 flush m...

90 gr XTP for 9MM
I loaded up some 100 gr berry's for my P938 just to check functioning with a reduced recoil round. The load was over a good stout charge of AA#5 and functioned perfectly. My wife as always been a little shy of small 9mm carry pistols until she shot this 100 gr load in the p938. This could get expens...

This may be a perfect example of people Open Carrying their rifles in the stores to make a statement causes 30.06 signs in Texas. Recently, however, we’ve seen the “open carry” debate become increasingly uncivil and, in some cases, even threatening. :banghead: NBC 5 this morning used footage of peo...

Hey folks, since this is a CHL Forum and this is a politcal thread, can we get back to CHL stuff? Our Governor has called another special session to start Monday and left all gun is issues off the call again. :patriot: The death of HB508 affects all of us a whole lot more than what the SCOTUS did to...

Re: Today is a sad day in American history
By refusing to rule on the California amendment banning gay marriage, the Supreme Court has effectively said that government officials, by fiat, can chose to ignore the will of the people and refuse to defend a Constitutional amendment passed by the people. Prior to 1965, there were many places in ...

I was impressed with Dewhurst yesterday. I think the fight with Cruz helped him find his backbone a little and he's realized he needs to be more out front and vocal for conservatism. Back then, I honestly thought they were pretty similar in their beliefs, but Cruz has a rude abruptness to him that ...
