Be brave... Do your Wally Walk on Friday!
I thought the purpose was to avoid life threatening situations? ;-)

Re: October 2011 Applications

That is exceptionally wise. It should be a mandatory read for all CHL waiters. I am in the blissful ignorant group now, but I would hope the number of people that get their plastic and just shrug casually and strap up is low.

Re: October 2011 Applications

No doubt the "slow" part of the journey is the process in which the College Station postal employees smudge the address from excessive drooling. JK :biggrinjester:

Re: October 2011 Applications

I as well got an update today. I was actually having a less than stellar morning, and this certainly kicked my day back on the right track. Mfg Pending, the two sweetest words.

Congrats all

This weekend I will be at one month of BG Pending... and at that point I shall truly have lost my mind. :willynilly:

I feel you. It is a compulsion to check when I wake up, even on a Sunday. Stranger things have happened...

Re: October 2011 Applications

Welcome,

Give it a week, they wont start on shuffling your app around and posting it received online until everything is in. It took a week for it to post, from the day DPS took custody of my materials. Id say tomorrow is likely to be good for you. This part is the most fun of the ordeal because you get to memorize your DL number and can read every post on this forum while you wait. I'm almost done with "General Discussions" myself

Still on BG pending over here...

To DPS's credit I am a very bad person...

Re: October 2011 Applications

Welcome to the wait Rocstar. It is certainly better to wait impatiently with others in the same boat. It looks like it will be a speedy one for us October apps... nothing could possibly go wrong. :biggrinjester:

Re: October 2011 Applications

I'm afraid all one can do is resign to not having their plastic for a few more weeks and relax (that advice has to work for someone if not me).

Its a shame that once you decide that you need personal protection, you have to wait for two months to be allowed to carry. Be sure to tell any would-be attackers to hold off and check back with you then.

Re: October 2011 Applications

That's pretty quick there Bernie.
I'm praying I get my first update this week (tomorrow maybe?). DPS received my packet last Friday.

I'm thinking about getting a sig p220 compact as a Christmas present for myself, figuring by the time I get my license it will be jacket weather and can tote around my full-size 1911 for a while.

You guys have your plans in order for when you get your plastic?
