Renewed mine in late February. Still shows that my background check is under review as of today. Have no idea why. Everything shows to have been received.

Might even try Larry Feland with Feland's gunsmithing.

Re: Looking to get into Sporting Clays / Suggestions?
I see you are in Katy. If you are looking for an instructor, you have some very good ones in your area. I personally would contact Adam Blair at Westside sporting grounds. He is a very good instructor and I'm sure he could help you out. Talk to him about what your goals are and what gun he suggests...

Joe McBride also is big on supporting Texas Parks and Wildlife. He helped start the Operation Game Thief and supports it to this day. Good guy and supports the local shooting ranges too.

Re: Recommendations for Temple / Belton area?
The Fort Hood Sportsman Range where you could shoot pistols and rifles was closed a couple weeks ago. The skeet and trap ranges are good to go though. Range 2 and 3 both have skeet, Range 2 also has trap. Range 1 has trap and 5 stand but the 5 stand is only open the last weekend of the month if I r...

Re: Mickeys in Harker Heights Robbed at gunpoint..
The Harker Heights store is just a little over a mile from my house. Not a real bad area for the most part but definitely on the way to the nightclub scene a little further down the road. Lot's of traffic coming out of Killeen. Right at the corner of two well traveled streets(easy to make a getaway)...

Re: Recommend A .22 cal. Revolver
I'll also give a thumbs up to the Ruger single six. I love mine. It's stainless and has the interchangeable cylinder . I really wanted a Freedom Arms model 97 .22 but just could not justify the cost difference($500+ for the Ruger and over $3200 for the Model 97).

I think if they want to do a background check on a LTC holder then said LTC holder ought to find another business to deal with. JMO.

Re: Who has been approached at a gas station with someone begging for money?
The beggars like to hang out around Scott and White hospital in Temple too. I have seen them there on more than one occasion trying to play on peoples sympathy. One of them told me he needed cab fare to get to Salado because a belt broke on his truck. He then asked which way to Salado. lol. I just d...

I personally know a man spending time in prison for killing a guy with a .25 years ago. It can get the job done although it wouldn't be my first choice....or second or third.

I've seen them for P30's on CDNN's website before. Think they were a touch under $50.

Re: H&K - looking for feedback
I have a USP Expert in .40 cal. It's a little big for a CC gun but I do keep it in the nightstand by my bed. Unbelievably accurate. I've had it about 4 years and shoot it often. I've fires thousands of rounds through it and cannot remember ever having a single jam or FTF. I would not hesitate to buy...
