Re: Parkland survivor David Hogg
Incredible how this little "Parkland survivor" punk has built an entire career from this. And he wasn't even in the building when the shootings occurred.

This says it all. It was triggered by some Karen. Wow. Makes me red in the face to read it.

I'd rather it be "half of Washington" than "half of Hollywood," but whatever...

Re: Legality of carrying in a school building
Inside a school owned building is ALWAYS off limits. That's a good central rule. I remember bringing this up several years ago on here, when I was teaching some adult education classes in the evenings (e.g. 7 to 9 p.m.) using a local elementary school building. Even during the summer, when school w...

So what exactly happened and didn't happen? He fired the shots, but there were no "two guys with a rifle"? He didn't fire any shots at all?

Re: DELETED FROM TEXAS GUN TALK
Not saying I agree with either of these, but from what I've read on there, the general gist is that (1) texaschlforum.com will kick you off for sneezing the wrong way, and (2) Mr. Cotton is a bad guy because of his loyalty to WLP.

Re: Caldwell county new gun law
I'm not so sure. Need a cite on that "any dividing of a property..." idea.any dividing of a property constitutes a subdivision. So if I hack 8 acres off my 100 to gift to my kid that is a subdivision of property, a plat must be done, and the rules apply.

Re: Caldwell county new gun law
Cripes. So if you have 9.9 acres and there's a million doves flying over on Opening Day, you can't shoot any, after taking out a half million dollar mortgage to buy some rural land and build a place to retire? What a freaking bummer. How the heck did that happen - republicans outnumber democrats 6 -...

Re: Is anyone in charge of technical issues and responding to new member applications?
I have quite a bit of experience with forums, mailing lists ("listserves"), groups, etc. and one thing I've observed over the years is that these things can be very, very sensitive to disturbances such as software crashes, platform changes, and the like. I've seen several busy, active foru...

I haven't been able to even connect to the forum in several days, or longer. Yesterday it would sit there for 5 minutes and then say "Bad Gateway Error."
Hate to say it, but this mess is going to kill the forum if it's not cleared up; it's been going on too long.

Re: WLP Resigning, Effective 31-JAN-2024
I am totally disgusted at what to me looks like deep corruption of the NRA leadership and board members who appear to have allowed, facilitated, and concealed the apparent wanton self serving behavior of the NRA officers... Among this group are many people I formerly considered to be ethical champi...
