Re: Anyone use Sean Cody for a Trust?

I bet the Records "buildings" for the BATFE must be huge to store all those copies of trusts. Too bad it's not a submit one time and buy all you want type of thing.

Some people do their own taxes. Some people pay a professional. If someone is competent to do their own income taxes (with or without the help of TurboTax) then they may also be competent to write their own trust with the help of Quicken WillMaker.

A man's got to know his limitations. And should understand that his limitations are not others' limitations.

I agree, and do my own taxes every year. Made a mistake 10 years or so ago and had to ante over $1,000 for missing a 1099 when I filed. Honest enough mistake, paid the tax and interest and on my way.

Mistakes that can invalidate a trust for NFA purchases seem to carry a little stiffer penalty...

Q: What can happen to someone who has an NFA firearm which is not registered to him?
Violators may be fined not more than $250,000, and imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both. In addition, any vessel, vehicle or aircraft used to transport, conceal or possess an unregistered NFA firearm is subject to seizure and forfeiture, as is the weapon itself.

[49 U.S.C. 781-788, 26 U.S.C. 5861 and 5872]

Guess you could say I paid to sleep better at night and the trust was free. ;-)

Re: Anyone use Sean Cody for a Trust?

I had Sean Cody prepare mine as well. I don't think Mr. Cody refers to himself as a "specialist", that is just the way he is perceived.
