Im taking my CHL class in Feb and Ive already done the background check and fingerprints. Everything is online now. First you go to the DPS site and fill out the info and pay the $140 fee. After 24 hours or so you can set up an appointment to have your fingerprints done.
To clarify, you did NOT complete the background check. You only completed the application. DPS does the background check after you application, fingerprints, and supporting documents are received.

. You're right, I shoulda said that I sent in the app and paid the fee. I misunderstood the question. I thought that the poster meant how can you get fingerprints done and the app before you take the class.
