I got mine back today. FedEx tried to deliver it at 2:30 so I called and picked it up at the local office. Nice to have it back.
The trigger, during dry fire is slightly firmer than before. I am looking forward to going with teamless this weekend to break it in, again.
Oh they sent it back in a small black carring case, which had a sticker for an XD sc 40. Gave me a pause when I thought they may have sent the wrong gun to me. My xds with the extra mag was in there so I am happy again.

Re: Urgent: XDs recall...
I would also like a bit more of an explanation of what happened and what was fixed? I mean, obviously I am going to take the gun apart when it gets home and see what they did, so why not just tell me ahead of time? It would get a lot better customer experience if they were a bit more transparent with this. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that there might be light at the end of the tunnel, but I would like a little more info.

Re: Urgent: XDs recall...
From the Springfield Recal Update site.We are pleased to announce that our testing was successful and is complete.
We will receive our first shipment of upgrade parts early next week and will begin shipping upgraded XD-S™ pistols back to our customers the week of October 21 on a first-received/first-upgraded basis.
Not much info, but potentially good news.

Re: Urgent: XDs recall...
hmm.... well progress is good I guess. I hope its real and not just marketingAs we noted in last Friday's update, our testing of potential upgrade solutions has continued and we are pleased to tell you that we have made significant progress over the last seven days. We have now identified what we believe is our final upgrade solution and throughout this coming week we will be continuing with our thorough and exhaustive testing of that solution. It's because of our commitment to your safety that we are conducting such extensive testing and we are working as fast as we can so that we can return your upgraded pistol to you.
We understand that our voluntary safety recall has made it inconvenient for you to be without your pistol, and we sincerely apologize for that. We expect to have more definitive information to share with you by Friday, October 11

Re: Urgent: XDs recall...
Somebody on the XDTalk web site said they had been told the update will happen between 2 and 3 today. I suspect it will say, "we need more time..." but hopefully not. I miss my XDS

Re: Urgent: XDs recall...
Well, as of now, there isn't an update on the springfield XDS site. Since they said they would update sooner if they found a solution, I would suspect they haven't yet found one. I would also suspect that they won't update the web page until the end of the day. That way customer service can go home before they are overwhelmed with questions. This testing is nearing completion and we will post any new updates as soon as we have identified a final upgrade solution. We will post our next update no later than Friday, October 4, and we will communicate immediately if a final solution is identified prior to that date.
Hopefully I am wrong and they are just trying to wordcraft the good news...........
