I'm talking about when HB1893 becomes law. Let's say a private university decides to not allow concealed carry in their campus buildings. A person with a CHL needs to conduct business with the private university but does not know their policy prohibiting concealed carry in their premises. What is the university's responsibility to notify the general public that they have decided to not allow concealed carry in their buildings.
Edit: How do they notify the public that they have opted out?

Re: HB 1893 and Private Institutions
So your saying that a member of the public, not a member of the university who mistakenly enters the premises of a private university that prohibits carry would not be charged unless he is told to do so and refuses to leave. Would he/she then be charged under 30.05 instead of 30.06?

HB 1893 and Private Institutions
I just read the the revised version of the bill concerning private institutions that may establish rules on whether or not to allow the carry of concealed firearms on their campuses. If a private university decides against concealed carry on campus how would the institution notify the public that they are prohibited from carrying on the premises. I saw nothing on how this would be addressed in the bill.

Charles,
Have you heard anything about this will be addressed. The reason I ask is that I work for a private university.
