Protestors will be bussed from Wiley park to the River Oaks Shopping Center area. Those who choose to drive themselves are on their own as far as parking goes.
The "walk" route is as I described above, but I believe it's confirmed they'll turn north on S. Shepherd on their return route. So we may see Kirby and S. Shepherd closed down for a period of time tomorrow.
I just hope it stays peaceful and sane.

Re: Anyone live in River Oaks...
My understanding is that they intend to gather near River Oaks Shopping Center on West Gray, walk west where it turns into Inwood at S. Shepherd, continue west on Inwood to Kirby, turn south one block to Del Monte, then east on Del Monte and back to the start on West Gray either by turning north on S. Shepherd or continuing on to Peden St. and turning north at McDuffie.Dadtodabone wrote:Does anyone know what the planned route is for this march? Are they using River Oaks Blvd(which is 4 lanes and divided) or will they be marching up and down the residential streets(30' wide)?

Correct.Dirthawking wrote:Just to clarify as it took my wife pointing this out to me. This is NOT in River Oaks Texas. This is in Houston in the river oaks community. There is actually a city just on the edge of Fort Worth that is named River Oaks.
In the fourth largest city in the US (hovering on the third largest), the River Oaks community is the most exclusive residential area. With multimillion dollar properties and the River Oaks Country Club and the home of the tennis U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships.
"Community Activist" (how the heck does someone make the money he does with that job description?) Qunanell X decided he would hold a pro-Travon/anti-Zimmerman rally this Sunday in River Oaks because it was "our Sanford, Florida."
Not hardly. If you evaluated relative property values, Sanford is more like Friendswood or Copperfield.
But facts don't seem to make any difference to these folks, do they?
