I own a G27 and I've never had any reliability issues with it. If you haven't, I would suggest you make arrangements to shoot both the models you have in mind; I have no experience with the Kahr.

I find the 27 to be a bit snappy, and that's due to my having only the middle finger and ring finger around the grip; adding a mag extension kinda defeats the purpose of having such a small pistol, so my little finger is completely off the grip. It's fine for the first shot or two, then the gun "travels" in my hand.

My normal carry is a compact frame .45 ACP, and I shoot it much better than I do the G27. I also have a full-sized Glock in .40 S&W and shoot it well, also. That tiny little G27 frame is good for concealment but, for me, there's a tradeoff in shootability.
