Some are my friends still, but trust me, if that happens they are my friends no more. "Sitting it out" is giving your vote to Lib fascists who will already have thousands of dead people voting illegitimately (some are morally and spiritually dead already).

Ive made my choice & will be voting for the candidate who best represents my values.Charles L. Cotton wrote:I am thinking of my grandchildren when I do the best I can in a bad, no critical situation. I will not look at my sons and tell them that everything I taught them was morally right, I went against.

Re: Republican Convention: Cruz supporters planning trouble?
POTUS cannot make law, the legislature does- and though modern presidents have exceeded their authority via executive orders, the constitution makes no provision for such. Our hope lies with strong and principled legislators made up of men such as Cruz & Lee etc who will stand firm in their convictions and shut down the government if necessary. The country is doomed without a principled leadership.

I do not care who you vote for. It makes no difference. America is not great anymore. It is not the beacon of freedom that we once were. Sometimes a house is beyond repair and must be torn down in order to rebuild. No more bandages, we need a convention of states to clean up this mess of a dog and pony show...and the sooner the better as the hole we are digging is getting deeper. The President...shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law....

Principles? Conscience?
A noted professor and practitioner of politics (LBJ) put it this way, and it doesn't get any more complicated than this:
"When they have the votes, we do things their way. When we have the votes, they do things our way."
We have a big discussion, argue over various issues, then vote. When that happens, we all must go along with the decision of that majority, and if we are lucky and disciplined, they will be doing things our way. Otherwise......

Many do not make a distinction between rights and entitlements. We seem to be living in the most entitled times which I can recall.
Rights, like morals, ethics and principles, shouldn't be subject to change based upon the culture or circumstances.

Re: Republican Convention: Cruz supporters planning trouble?
I cant see faulting Cruz for Hillary's success. The RNC mismanagement put itself in the current situation by its own behind the scenes manipulation. Why did it not stop the obviously failing candidates from continuing to splinter the delegates? I believe it was to deny a man who wouldnt toe the party line.
The American voter is nothing more than a commodity, & both parties takes our loyalties for granted & plays us for pigeons. Our priorities take a backseat to their enrichment.
