Re: In chamber or no?

Easy. I didn't say anyone was. At least no one here was. I got a lot of "advice" from people I took my class with or at the range. Some I paid attention to and some I didn't. My point is, do what is comfortable for you and don't let others push into doing something you're not ready to do. ...

Re: In chamber or no?

Excellent 2nd post. ;-) That is what I wanted to say as well. Start off in your comfort zone, learning to carry the weapon, and how to handle it during the day. As you become comfortable that you are not going to drop it, throw it, etc etc, you then proceed to the next step, carrying a round in the...

Re: Door To Door Solicitor Today

Can I answer the door...wearing a gun in plain view? (like in a holster) I'm still not sure if that is legal or not. ...totally legal in Texas...but there goes your element of surprise...and a heartily rebuffed soliciter could say "He pulled a gun on me"...better if they never see the gun...

IfI see a gun in a bar, regardless of who is carrying it, I'm leaving.

Re: In chamber or no?

Regardless if a handgun is holstered, you must keep your finger off the trigger. A holster can only keep your finger off the trigger while the handgun is in the holster. When you are putting a handgun into a holster or taking it out, you must keep your finger off the trigger. Regardless if your gun...

Re: Oklahoma Open Carry becomes law

If the implication is was I an LEO....no. Just a resident of VA. That being said, I will admit that I look and dress very conservatively. I also do ride motorcycles and carried when I was dressed in leathers and looked quite different. Never. Ever. A problem. Oh no, not at all. That didn't even occ...

Re: Oklahoma Open Carry becomes law

Open Carry just seems like way to a bunch of daily trouble I don't need. No disrespect to anyone, but it's just not for me. OC'd for years (VA) without a single issue. That being said, if it is not for you, that is A OK with me, as long as you don't have any plans of standing in the way of me tryin...

Re: I'll Take This Chair Right Here

I got mine today!!! It took a month and some change from mailing my package, to getting my plastic. I hope everyone that seems to be "stuck" can get some good luck soon. Doesn't seem to make sense how some get theirs faster than others. They are people waiting 60 and 70 days. Here's to eve...

Re: Mailed????

Where's CATX? Its 11:10, and she said they get their mail at 10:15. I was hoping she'll have an update so I'd know weather to go straight home or just go run some errand after work. Nothing :cryin I'm to the point now that I don't expect to get it before June. I figure I will have to wait till the ...
