The question is: May a Non-resident that is 18-20 obtain a Texas Non Resident LTC? As in a college student going to college in Texas.

Re: 2021 - back to Georgetown?
"In addition to the classroom training, you are also required to demonstrate proficiency with both a revolver and a semi-automatic handgun following the LTC Course of Fire." Following the LTC Course of Fire? typo or what? I did the paperwork and submitted the 90 and such yesterday. Wonder...

My range is just west of Palacios, below El Campo (43 miles) and Southeast of Victoria (55 miles). I really need to do it this next week before school starts. Tuesday is out. Any take...

Will the General Public use 46.03 signs
Will stores and other public locations use 46.03 signs rather than utilize the 30.06 and 30.07, 30.05 signs? Isn't the intent of the 46.03 to post one sign for locations that are Prohibited by state law under Texas Penal Code Section 46.03? Does this make it a legal "location" or a "l...

Re: School teacher with LTC
In respect to the 37.0815 law that was enacted. There has now been a change in District School Board Policies that is somehow skewed. The DH(LEGAL) Update 111 6/22/2018 states: A district may not prohibit a school employee who holds a license to carry a handgun under Government Code, Chapter 411, Su...

Re: School teacher with LTC
You are correct it does cover parking lot laws. However, it does not address S.B. No 1566 Sec 37.0815 Transportation or Storage of Firearm and Ammunition by License Holder in School Parking Lot. Effective September 1, 2017.

Re: School teacher with LTC
The "New" Version of the LTC-16 (now 88( came out in February of 2018. I was going through it. Am I correct when I say there is no mention or reference to HB 1566 Sec. 37.0815 in it anywhere? Maybe I'm just too blind to see, please tell me where.

Re: Renewals
Submitted online the evening of 10-3-2016, received in mail today 10-29.
They also added "Instructor" on it. Didn't ask, but it there.
Also for those that were wondering...
The fee is $70 when you turn 60 for a LTC.
Renewals for 60+ are $35.
I love that Senior Discount!
