Mailed in the documents 6/18 via Express mail... USPS shows them as delivered today. I was told by my instructor that it takes about 6 weeks to get the piece of plastic in the mail, so that means end of July.
Our instructor told us that it would take 4 - 6 weeks.....Did my application online May 21, mailed cert. & photos in on May 22. My status changed to "Application Received....Background Check Under Review" on June 5........I'm still under "Review" and waiting.

At this point it has been 20 working days since I dropped it in the mail....... 4 calendar weeks......Hope to see a status change by the end of the week.....I'm worse than a kid at Christmas time waiting for this!

I spoke with DPS today about materials that I had mailed when you did.....No sign of receiving them on their web site. The gentleman I spoke to said that the packet had most likely been received, but, it takes about 3 weeks for the CHL people to recognize that fact. So, I said it has probably arrived in the DPS mail room but just has not made it all the way through the building yet. His response was "that's a very good analogy."

So, I guess I have a couple more weeks to wait before I see any status change. :waiting:

Stay patient!
