Re: CHL Application - Internet or Mail

When you mail in an application you have to wait until the DPS sends you a letter back BEFORE you can have your fingerprints taken. This should add about 30 -35 days to the processing time before you get your license. I always recommend filling in the application online, PRINTING your checklist at t...

Re: Texas Drivers License DD number

I had a gentleman tell me if you had that number and needed to get a replacement drivers license
(because your original was lost) you can fill in the application online.
That is what I was told, never have had to find out if true.

Re: NRA Instructor Insurance...Rating It?

The insurance agents I contacted when looking for instructor insurance (six years ago) practically threw me out of their offices. I know times have changed, but most insurance companies don't seem to want anything to do with firearm instructor coverage. I did have an agent selling other Lockton poli...

Re: NOW I understand CHL Badges...video.

I have had people show me badges they have bought at gun shows.
I try to warn against carrying one, if someone thinks you are a policeman because you show that badge
(even REALLY dumb ones) you can be in a lot of hot water.

Re: Join NRA this weekend

I began recruiting over 5 years ago.
Still don't know where the time has gone.
I always enjoy being at the shows, see a lot of familiar faces.

Re: Anyone ever file a claim on NRA Arms Insurance?

Also, you will need serial numbers (if the firearms have any) and some way to verify value, like original sales receipts.
There is a deductible ($100.00 in my case).
It is a great benefit for members and I use it as a selling tool when recruiting.

Re: Anyone ever file a claim on NRA Arms Insurance?

Yes, I had some guns stolen and the NRA promptly sent me a $1300.00 check.
If you have a loss, get a copy of the police report and contact Lockton Insurance for the forms you need from them.
:patriot:
(Just an idea, you should call and make your Armscare insurance is active before you have a loss)

Re: Post Office Law Suit to Repeal Carry Rule

I always cover the post office problem in the CHL classes I teach. Is it a Federal Property? Are there Federal Employees? Can you carry or not? I usually boil it to down to: I don't want to be the "test case" to find out for sure. Just like the restaurants having 51% signs AND the blue unl...
