Re: Attention Glock Fans!!!!

One more thing to note. I find this interesting too. I weighed both guns loaded Glock 11 rounds weighs 1lb 8.8 ozs, XDS loaded 8 rounds weighs 1lb 9.0 ozs. Both are chambered in 9mm just to clarify. The Springer weighs quite a bit more considering the reduced capacity of the magazine. Also even though I do not like the Glock I can still be just as accurate with either firearm. One thing I cannot do is stand at the range and put 100 rnds down the pipe of the Glock without it beating my hand up. The XDS was much more comfortable. I have also shot them back to back in the same visit to the range and can say that they are both quality handguns up to the abuse you can throw at them.

Re: Attention Glock Fans!!!!

If you can stand to have the Glock ride low close to your belt and a lot of cant it will be much less likely to print. Then you have a tougher time accessing the weapon though. Like I said before I played with it a lot and never found it comfortable. I know that it isn't that much thicker than some of the other guns I have carried but the shape of it (Block) seems to just make it stick out. If the slide was more rounded (like 1911) at the top it would be a much better ccw.

Now with all that said I do carry an XDS it's shape isn't much better and the difference between it and the Glock is not huge. What I am getting at is if you really like the features of the glock and just wish they made it in a (very slightly) smaller package then it would be the ticket. At the end of the day it does conceal easier but not that much.

Just for comparisons sake here are a few pics. G26 and XDS. Enjoy

I think that last pic is pretty telling of the reason the Glock stands out. For one it has the Pearce grip pinky extension on it, Two the grip is far more angled, Three the shape of the backstrap (which is also what I don't like) really makes it print, Lastly and if you look close you'll see what I am saying the grip on the Glock extends past the rearmost portion of the frame. All those things however minute make it harder to conceal.

Re: Attention Glock Fans!!!!

I had trouble concealing the G27 I had and the G26 my wife still has. I played with it a bunch but it was easier to conceal my EMP .40. I am very thin. 6ft and 150. Now I carry a XDS or the P238 depending on how I feel that day. I don't mind shooting the Glock it's a decent gun but the XDS has become my friend. It's easier to conceal and while I miss my EMP .40 I don't miss the almost 3 lbs it weighed loaded. It sure was a sweet shooter though.

Single Stack is the best but as others have said that doesn't look to bad. I would imagine any bending at the waist or raising your arms may make it more noticeable.
