I'm only a couple weeks ahead of you. I agree that the discussions in the class were very sobering. Some of that I never thought of...and I'm hopeful that if the time ever comes I have the training necessary to make those quick decisions. It is a never ending learning process, for certain. And this is a good place for the continuing education!cewait wrote: I do want to say that I thought I was moving through the process with a high level of thought and consideration of the possible outcome should the time ever come that I may need to use a weapon. I pray that moment will never present itself. But I found a few of the discussions last Saturday extremely sobering and eye opening. I think that some of the sobering came from new found knowledge that even the use of my shotgun in a clear case of self defense (i.e. a kick in event) will land me in front of a Grand Jury. Needless to say, while sobering, I am committed to assuring that I continue to protect my wife of 31 years - and that she protect me.
I'll update as soon as my status changes.
