I acquired a S&W Bodyguard 380 last May after looking at a few other guns. I was looking for something that I could easily conceal without having to re-think what I wear. I work in an office environment and wear docker/long sleeve shirts the entire year. The BG380 fits neatly in my front pocket with a wallet holster. Of all the options I evaluated, only this type of pistol fit was I was looking for in a gun... Baby Glock too bulky for my needs.
A week ago, before I got my CHL, I had nothing... better a 380 than nothing. Yeah, I know it's limitations, and I feel comfortable with what this gun offers. Maybe as times passes and I become more comfortable with concealing this, I may consider something else.
My home defense pistol is a Glock 17 and at this point I would not consider carrying that.
