You cannot be prepared for every threat, otherwise we would all be wearing bomb proof suits all the time since some crazy person could have a suicide vest on at the mall. I carry what I am comfortable with, what I believe could stop 99% of all threats against myself or my family, and not worry about the 1% that could happen. My concern is an armed robber, convenience store robber, roid-rage psycho, road rage psycho, gang banger, disgruntled former employee, caught in a mob situation, or general ne'er-do-well. For these situations 15 rounds of 9mm will do fine, in the other situation all I can do is try to protect my family and myself, and hope for the best.
