Went with the Mil-Dot after reading up on how to estimate ranges. Thought it would be a bit more flexible.

Actually a Colt Competion CRE 18. I know that it's made my under license, but it had everything I was looking for. It'll do waaay more than it's owner!

Just bought my first AR!! Now I am looking at optics. Any advice on the Red Dot/Scope Combo? I was kinda thinking about something like the Burris in the link (1-4x24 with a FastFire red dot). The price is a bit...steep.

Most of my shooting is at paper, but I'm lining up a hog hunt soon. Thanks!
