Re: Conflicting laws in the penel code?
I am confussed about some laws and need help. I see this law that says PC §9.06. CIVIL REMEDIES UNAFFECTED. The fact that conduct is justified under this chapter does not abolish or impair any remedy for the conduct that is available in a civil suit. That reads to me you can be sued for using deadl...

Re: Conflicting laws in the penel code?
In my opinion as a non-attorney (so take it with a big grain of sea salt), these Sections are in two different state codes for a reason and say two different things. In Texas, anyone can sue for anything. There is nothing in the law that prevents that. All PC §9.06 is saying is that, yep, nothing i...

Whatever......... Enjoy your stay. :grumble I will try to enjoy my stay. It is bothering that I found this page and see so many CHL instructors and my thoughts were to be a novice and recieve some advice and get insults. I am going to be a little more patient. I know there is some who are wi...

Pretty simple to me.
As long as it is simple to you, does dont make it simple to others. Your answer still explains nothing.

Re: Can you shoot someone in the back that turns there back
Pastor, one of the thing that was discussed in my CHL class was how we would react in diffrent situations. In the wake of the theater masacre it has got me thinking very deeply about these things again. It is not abnormal for me to process things that happen when I read about them in the news, but ...

I will look forward to it, but I cant go to the gun range in Vidor; Ive been banned till I cough up more of my personal info than I feel is warranted! ht...

You all do realize that "Buckaroo" has exactly two posts and both are asking pretty serious questions that have provoked some responses that will not get you far in court. Unless Buckaroo comes back online and makes additional comments - there could be a bit of trolling involved here... F...

Re: Can you shoot someone in the back that turns there back
First off. I am a Pastor of a church and it intreast me none to do any harm to a soul. As you read my post I put in there that I have heard. It bothered me enough to ask some experts in this feild. When folk have questions about Jesus or Moses they come to me. I simply want to know that the state o...

Can you shoot someone in the back that turns there back to y
Can you shoot someone in the back that turns there back to you after robbing you at gun point? My concern would be that after the person robbing you at gun robs you and takes your wallet and walks away, he thinks in his mind " hey, I just left a witness alive to testify agianst me in the court ...

Can you use deadly force to stop someone breaking into your car? I dont think I would if I was not in the car at the time. But I had a friend to tell me that TX law allows your car to be in the same bracket as your house ( Castle Doctrine ) and you can stop them from breaking into your house ( in th...
