I still dont support obama, but seeing the powell endorsement made me think for a moment that maybe I missed something.

I respect the hell out of powell, and I hope never to close myself off to other ideas to the point that seeing an opposing view by someone I respect makes me lose respect for them instead of causing me to reevaluate my own positions. It doesnt mean I have to change my views to match theirs (or them to mine) but I am glad I am reasonable enough to at least stop and take another look at a different position.

Nobody knows everything, maybe I missed something along the way that the other person caught. I am always open to learn something new.


I saw the powell endorsement and I still went out and voted for Bob Barr so he didnt change my views, but he did give me a reason to reflect for a moment.

This statement is disturbing enough all by itself, the fact that you put an American flag after it is perhaps more disturbing. How can anyone think that a government sponsored witch hunt for people who are not violating any law and are guilty of nothing more than expressing views that are unpopular is right or in any way American?
