This thread stirred some cobwebs. I though I remembered some jacketed bullets with a copper spindle plug at the tip. (Shaped like two cones attached base to base) I was a little off. Apparently they are either Brass or Bronze. Looks they were only made for rifles. I guess there's not enough velocity from most hand gun rounds for them to work as designed. Also the link indicates they were from the 1920s.
