Even for larger hands? (I know gguess. . . sort of related to him. . . I'm about 6'5" and he's probably 6'2" or so. . . )

I'm asking because of this thread: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=61882

I bought a sig p938 recently. I love the gun, love shooting it except that every time I shoot it, the webbing of my hand gets eaten up by the slide. . .

I didn't shot the p938 enough to hurt my hands, just enough to figure out the trigger was much better than my LC9. I am 6'1" and have big hands, the LC9 has pretty stiff recoil but it hasn't torn up my skin.

Re: Small carry gun Shield, LC 9, or a small Sig

I carry an LC9 daily, either pocket carry with a desantis nemesis, or 4 o'clock inside the pants depending on my clothing for the day. I thought I would share a few observations:

Reliability: In the 5 months I've been carrying the LC9 I've put just over 1500 rounds through it without a single malfunction. The bulk of that ammo has been speer lawman, but has also included monarch brass cased, wolf steel cased, WWB, and Double Tap 115gr +p.
Recoil: Felt recoil is very strong for a 9mm, but manageable. I've shot up to 500 rounds in a single range session, but it wasn't much fun after 200 or so.
Trigger: It's bad, really bad. The initial grittiness has gone away but the travel and weight are both extremely high. I keep looking for galloway to start shipping their trigger mods again, because I don't want to send my daily carry off for modifications. (If anyone knows a good gunsmith in Houston who works on LC9 triggers I'd love to hear about them). Plan to put in a lot of practice time with this gun to get comfortable with the trigger.
Size: The LC9 disappears into my pocket, even with the magazine pinky extension (a must for bigger hands)

All in all I would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable reliable pocket sized 9mm. That being said I would recommend the Sig P938 to anyone willing to spend more money on their pocket 9. I've shot one and the trigger is much better.
