Re: skipping the range portion of class?
I have a question for instructors. If a student wants to skip the shooting test, do you give them a certificate for the eight or nine hours of classroom they attended or do you offer a private lesson for an extra hour or two so they can get a certificate showing the required ten hour minimum? I mak...

Re: NEF POLY LOWERS $80
Less than a month ago I bought 5 NFA Complete(not striped, stock, fire control group, every thing) lowers for $500. I have had a bunch of these and they are good. I cant say I would go into combat with one but they kill pigs just the same.

Not In contrasting colors, clear is not a color unless you a window licker. Not legal, I'm an instructor and I would walk right past that. I also would keep my mouth shut about it not being legal, that way they never fix it.

Re: skipping the range portion of class?
I am a CHL instructor and I was a small arms instructor and CMT in the Marines. Not all Marines get to shoot the pistol, but if you did you must send in your paper work from MOL to the state to by pass the quall portion. No Marine in there right mind would want to though, you sure your not NAVY? :sm...

Re: Reloading shopping list
I started with a Lee turret press. you can use it as a single stage until you are more comfortable, then install an auto index fro faster production yet allow for more control. I also now have a Lee Pro1000, an old CH single stage press(got it and a bunch of other reloading stuff in trade for doing ...

Re: FNAR or AR10?
Some other things for you to consider: The FAL is at its limits, upgrades are few and far between, the action was not originally designed for 7.62x51 NATO. It was adapted for it, and shooting .308 vs. 7.62x51 can over work some of the older ones. The M1A is built around the NATO round from the start...

Re: How cost effective is reloading?
This has been talked about severl times on this forum. I use Lee presses and dies, they are inexpensive and are of good quality. dont go buying a big expensive Dillon or Horniday from the get go. it cost me about $5.50 per 50 for my .45 buying my bullets. Im just getting into casting my own and will...

Re: Want to buy another Les Baer...
Yes. Truthfully, I don't own a Baer. But I do own two Ed Brown's and have owned one Wilson in the past. High dollar 1911's are well worth the price, that's for sure! :thumbs2: I agree my Wilson has served me well for over 7yrs, and thousands of rounds. High end custom guns are prisey but worth it. ...

Re: N. Dallas / Plano Renewal Class?
I'm curious if there are any updates or new info on this topic. My CHL expires in March, and I'm eager to get a head start on the renewal. Cabela's in Ft. Worth is an hour drive (each way) from my house in Plano, so that's a downer. I did my initial class at Bullet Trap, but they only offer renewal...
