The range owner where I shoot lets me pick up brass whenever I need it. This is the only time I pick any up. Let it fall and not bother with it when I shoot. Usually pick up a couple gallon cans of brass then shoot till I run low then repeat the process. I like to use my pecan gatherer for picking up the brass (.45 acp), saves wear and tear on the back. :txflag:
