Re: Costco prohibit carry - No signs posted
I was about to renew my membership online and I was required to scroll down a list of "Member Privileges & Conditions" and check a box agreeing to these conditions. At the bottom of that list was this statement: "Costco policy prohibits firearms to be brought into the warehouse, e...

Re: Hearing aid suggestions for my father.
His current provider is out of state so it's complicated every time I need service. There are two local companies that service his brand of hearing aid but one wants a really high fee to re-evaluate his hearing and the other doesn't consistently answer the phone. Costco might be my next best option....

Re: Hearing aid suggestions for my father.
I'm not suggesting that hearing aides don't work. I'm sure that they do. But I urge you to make sure that whatever decision you make actually meets your father's specific needs. Rather than focusing on the loss itself, I suggest trying to match the device to his symptoms. The bluetooth interface th...

Re: Hearing aid suggestions for my father.
Hearing aids are not a one-size-fits-all solution. They do not work at all like eyeglasses. You would think that it's only necessary to amplify the frequencies where he has loss, but that's only a starting point. Getting a good result begins with a complete hearing test with an audiologist or, at l...

Hearing aid suggestions for my father.
My father has broken one of his hearing aids and I might be looking for new ones real soon. I understand Costco's price on hearing aids is much better than others, but I also found www.mdhearingaid.com which right now has a half price sale on their reasonably priced hearing aids. The reviews on mdhe...

They've had lightweight models at that price for a long time.

Re: Got an unsolicited debt card in the mail
I received one as well. It was from direct express, but it was my father's social security payment. Good thing I was able to get it direct deposited into his bank from now on instead.

Re: Termites
I concur. Wood boring beetles.
Re: Termites
The termites found on the fence could also be what are sometimes call agriculture termites or grass termites. They don't actually do any damage to the wood, they just feed on dead grass or the dried surface of the wood. They don't actually burrow into it. Subterranean termites may not go away by tre...

Re: Silencers used in NYC hit caught on video
Wish sells a solvent trap for about $30.00 in common thread types for handguns and rifles. Not hard to get a hold of the parts nowadays.
Re: Termites
I own a pest control business in Deep South Texas and the cost for treatment could vary greatly based on total linear feet of fence to be treated and materials used. I have yet to get paid to treat someone's fence in the last 30 years I've been doing business. Opinions vary greatly and treatment str...

I'm starting to doubt the accuracy of the death count more and more every day. https://www.dailywire.com/news/pennsylvania-forced-to-remove-hundreds-of-deaths-from-coronavirus-death-count-after-coroners-raise-red-flags “I think in this country, we are taking a very liberal approach to mortality,” sh...

Re: So...you didn’t get Stimulus check...
When I go to the IRS website to update my bank account info I get an error that says we are unable to verify eligibility. It doesn't ask for any more information or promise to follow up with me.
