I'm out. Plastic received today so it took a two days over 6 weeks from the day I mailed until received and that included 2 postal holidays.

I find it odd but fascinating the difference in how quickly the the DPS updates for different people. I had my class on 09/22, fingerprints on 9/28, and mailed my info on 9/29. My status still shows as waiting on receipt of materials. Weird.
At least the easy part of checking is the DL/SSN/DOB. I memorized my DL shortly after I received it (lo, these many years....) and my SSN from the days when HS and colleges use it as your student ID number. After almost 40 years of reciting them that is the easy part. The one I can't remember is my wife's DL.
