Is this a first attempt at sarcasm? Genuinely curious here. While some holsters have had some issues with negligent discharges you really can't say that Mexican carry is safer than a holstered firearm. Frankly the one benefit I see to a holster compared to what you're doing now is that you don't have to worry about it sliding down your pants and making a loud clank on the floor. Also while your statement about Glock's and things catching the trigger is true can't the same be said even more loudly about carrying it with nothing covering the trigger? My pants bunch up sometimes, I carry a pocket knife and sometimes other things that could all cause a ND without adequate trigger protection so the whole idea makes my hair stand up.austin wrote:Yes, I do. It is not needed for appendix carry. And appendix carry is the best method for CHL.bauer wrote:You just carry with the weapon tucked in your waist band? If thats the case, you're a braver person than I am as there is nothing covering the trigger.austin wrote: Where on body do you carry: Appendix, 1 O'Clock, or 11 O'Clock, aka Mexican style

As for the trigger, there is nothing in my pants small enough to get in the trigger guard.
Its is a myth that holsters increase safety. They don't.
A holster is not a safety device. It is merely meant to hold the weapon and present it more easily for a draw.
Many holsters are downright dangerous and have a long history of NDs. Serpas for one.
And many weapons are dangerous with holsters. The glock is one. A bit of clothing caught during holstering and an ND can occur.
FYI I appendix carry every day and it's always holstered and my firearm is one of those fancy ones with a thumb safety thingy.
