CHRIS CHRISTIE ON GUN LAWS

Earlier this week, Sean Hannity interviewed Chris Christie.

As many may know, Chris Christie is Governor of New Jersey. He has been widely mentioned as a potential candidate for President ans has denied the potential, but who knows what the future holds. He seems very conservative, and aggressively so, on fiscal matters and there is much to like about him in that regard.

In the course of the interview, Hannity asked him about his 2nd Amendment position. As you may recall, last year he commuted the sentence of a man who was wrongfully convicted of a felony gun charge while he was actually obeying the law regarding the transportation of firearms. He was moving to a new residence. Christie mentioned this issue in his answer and noted the commutation and said that he was against gun laws being unfairly applied.

OPINION:While this certainly provided some relief to the victim in this miscarriage, a pardon would seem to have been more appropriate.

He then stated that he thought that he saw no need to add further gun laws in New Jersey, he also said that he thought that New Jersey gun laws we fine as they are and provided a good balance of safety and citizen rights.

OPINION: Personally, anyone who feels that New Jersey gun laws provide a good balance would worry me greatly as POTUS.
