That's part of the problem when you hit "quote" to reply to a particular poster from a post that has had multiple quotes from multiple posters. Who said what is lost. It would be nice when quoting a specific post, that one strips out all the subsequent quotes that don't apply, before posting one's reply. I'm sure I'm guilty of the above on occasion, but I do try not to do it.

Wait to be clear here for my personal edification, if there is an arrest warrant out they don't need to provide such to the custodial parent in attempting to apprehend the minor, and instead just note that there is an arrest out?

There is no proof that the leo's could not arrest her son prior to a warrant being signed. LEO's can and do make arrests all the time w/o a warrant. As an example of that, this anonymous lady was allegedly arrested and based on the limited story they wouldn't have had a warrant for her. A leo makes an arrest based on probable cause that a crime had been committed and then has a judge sign the affidavit after the arrest.

There are many reasons they may not have gone back including time past where they now wanted a warrant; calls for service and no units available; that officer's shift ended, ect.

If somebody up in that area reads more articles with facts please post them.

The complainant said she was aware police would be coming to apprehend her 11-year-old son based on a criminal complaint, and that she just wanted to see the warrant. As it turns out, that warrant didn't exist. She spent the night in jail while her son was left at home.
