The Farnams are very highly regarded, and in years past have offered classes twice a year near Victoria, Texas, as per Mate's post earlier.

The Impactzone, out past Katy, has hosted a few outside instructors, including Gabe Suarez and Brian Hoffner, among others. They also hold IDPA matches and other competition shoots that frequently get mentioned elsewhere on this forum.

I would not get so fixated upon Gunsite or Thunder Ranch, or any other instructor or school for that matter. I do not believe anyone has an inherent, exclusive lock upon good training and intelligent doctrine. Rather, it is up to the student/consumer to continue improving their skills and and understanding. Some training venues help with this more than others for a given student, so there may be a some trial and error involved. I believe it is more a continuing process rather than an immediate change.
