Re: LEO interaction
Especially if I have other people in the car, I'm not going to start announcing that I have a gun. I'll present my CHL and let him ask questions if he wants additional information.

Re: Oklahoma Traffic Stop
handgunlaw.us makes it pretty clear that you need to inform the officer at the first opportunity in OK. If I read it properly, it is a misdemeanor with a $100 fine if you don't.

Oklahoma Traffic Stop
If a Texas CHL holder with his weapon in the closed center console is pulled over for a speeding violation by a local city officer in OK (US highway going through small town that's a speed trap), is the driver/CHL holder required preemptively to notify the officer that he is a TX CHL holder with a w...

Re: Urgent: XDs recall...
I am definitely starting to get aggravated. When you have an XDS a lot of people ask how well you like it and my current response will not lead someone to purchase a Springfield product. Once I have my XDS back that may change but the longer they have to keep it the more negative my recommendation i...

For what it's worth - once I learned to keep it well lubed, I have never had a problem with it. The dry stuff didn't work. It wanted oil.

Re: HB48: No renewal class required
Having a CHL is a earned privelidge If it is a privilege, why did the courts rule that IL had to institute a conceal carry program? I think you're a little off on you're thinking on this point. I believe in personal responsibility. It is my responsibility to keep up with laws that affect every area...

Re: American Airlines Center - Dallas Circus
Here's a pretty lengthy discussion from a few years ago that seems to pretty well outline their position at the time. Maybe some of it has changed, but I agree; trying to change this while you're standing in line at a concert probably won't work out. It needs to be addressed by prior contact with p...

Re: American Airlines Center - Dallas Circus
What do you do at any other place you are forbidden to carry? Thinking about this.... I realized that the only places I go that are off limits are schools. I don't go to bars, Grapevine Mills is easy to avoid (courtesy of Amazon prime ;-) ). I'm not too worried about my lock box in the school parki...

Re: American Airlines Center - Dallas Circus
Circus was fun but it's not like the circuses of the 1980's (or even 90's) when I took my kids. Much smaller. Fewer performers who aren't quite as good. I would guess it was only half full last night for their final performance here in Dallas (this season).

Re: American Airlines Center - Dallas Circus
Personally, I never would have thought of the circus as a sporting event. Doesn't there have to be an element of competition for it to be a sporting event?
