You got me thinking about something: if they didn't pay these people to sit around, they indeed would have to get jobs...except there are no jobs for those sort of folks to do because the minimum wage prices unskilled people out of the market. Not to mention, all of our business-strangling regulations and taxes keep companies from wanting to expand, or make it hard for entrepreneurs to start new companies.
