Oh, so you want the government telling us what we can and can't do with our private property? What about when you want to sell a TV set to someone, and the government decides you can't do that because that TV might be unsafe, and needs to go through a repair shop first? Or you want to sell a used car to a family member, but the government decides that you can't, it needs to be sold ONLY to a dealership. And so on and so forth because once they tell you what you can and can't do with one type of personal property, then they just expand that when they feel like expanding it. A liberty surrendered is not easily regained.hondo44 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 11:40 pmyes, and this is exactly why the private sale loophole needs to be closed. it's common sense, we cant have mentally deranged or autistic or retardeds out there buying assault rifles and shooting up the place!03Lightningrocks wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 10:41 pmMaybe not.He would have had to KNOWINGLY sell to a felon.

Re: Reported: Active shooter in Odessa, TX
so, a petty criminal who decided to move to the big time.
Now, what do the politicians, either side, really think is going to happen when they push some kind of garbage law that purports to disarm people? Do they ever take count of the resources required? I've heard all the scenarios, I know that they're "going to get me at a traffic stop" or some such. Whatever, I'm nobody, no skills. Lots of people aren't me, and I'll leave it at that.

Re: Reported: Active shooter in Odessa, TX
There is a difference between providing basic info about the person, and blasting every little tidbit about them, especially when the identity of the murderer is used to lambast those who didn't commit the crime.

Re: Reported: Active shooter in Odessa, TX
Maybe some repeat felonious criminal, and they're trying to figure out how to spin it to aid gun control. Yes, I'm that cynical these days.crazy2medic wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2019 10:47 amUnless the identity of the shooter doesn't fit their narrative!03Lightningrocks wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2019 10:16 amI have not found the identity of the shooter yet. Normally that is one of the first things released.

Re: Reported: Active shooter in Odessa, TX
Why? Because the grabbers want to cause problems for and to disarm folks that AREN'T causing any problems, that's why...but they NEVER say what they are going to do to stop violent criminals in Chicago and other big cities, who they KNOW are killing people. Their little schemes are only against us "flyover country deplorables" and NEVER about the violent gangs who continuously shoot and kill. They don't care about people being killed, they only care about disarming us. THAT'S why!Killadocg23 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 6:09 pmJust curious and a serious question. Why do people compare the two? Chicago's killing are because of gangs, drugs etc and we KNOW why people get shot there all the time because of stuff like that. Thats a KNOWN fact. Why are you comparing random mass shootings to that scenrio. Neither one is ok in my book but I see no correlation on being killed over gangs ,drugs etc and being killed just because you were riding on the freeway and some "lunatic decides to shoot you, or shopping in walmart and some random guy who you never met decides to take your life will picking up fruit. Not defending chicago as it is all crap but just trying to see your point on how it is relevant? Because in MY opinion "and we all have our own" they are two totally different circumstances. We all know that if we go on the south side of chicago there a probability of something happening. None of us expect to be killed while shopping at walmart or minding our business on the freeway.03Lightningrocks wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 5:41 pm You know what just makes me livid? For kicks I like to check out the coverage on MSNBC. It is a know your enemy kind of thing for me. They are already pumping the gun control narrative over this shooting. They use phrases like "here we go again". But what they won't do is say one word about the 50 people who will be killed on the streets of Chicago during the labor day weekend.![]()

Re: Reported: Active shooter in Odessa, TX
So, a murderer perpetrating the crime is down. However, was there actually one murderer or two? If so, which one did they get, the USPS truck or the Toyota? Garbage reporting.
