Re: 2017 Legislative Priorities
For all of the hooplah and grandstanding that happened for non-campus open carry passage, we've barely seen any open carriers. Enduring more of that for campus open carry is about as counterproductive as you can get - especially when there are still places that the most law-abiding segment of the p...

Chas.
What do you mean by opposing an NRA bill?

Re: 2017 Legislative Priorities
I think it will be a long time before you see support for open carry on campus. Personally, it wouldn't even make my top ten list. I'm guessing that you're not on a public university campus 5 days a week. I am. Just because an issue doesn't apply to you personally, doesn't mean you should ignore it...

Re: 2017 Legislative Priorities
Now that we have campus carry, I'd like to see it expanded to include open carry on campus. I'd also like to remove restrictions on public schools. There is no reason why I shouldn't be able to carry while walking into my kid's school's front office when I have to pick him up early to go to the orth...

Re: Military Quilts
I'm a quilter too. I'd be happy to help piece or quilt. Don't have a long arm. I either use my regular sewing machine or hand quilt. I do a lot of hand quilting.

Re: I made a very exciting discovery
My dad gave me his old G30 and an owb leather holster (don't know what brand). I was messing with it one day and realized that my S&W SD9VE fits in the owb holster perfectly. I've read several times that the SD9VE is very similar in dimensions to the G19. I don't have an IWB paddle holster for t...

Re: Do I have to keep my LTC card on my body?
OK, I think y'all are right. I'd never really thought about it before this morning, but I think I do need to have it on me (just in case). I'm going to look into the phone cases. Also, maybe a small keychain/ID holder would work. I just don't want to have too much crap in my pockets. It's hard enoug...

Do I have to keep my LTC card on my body?
OK, I know that I should always have my LTC card/ID on me, but I'm a girl. I don't carry my wallet in my pocket like you guys do. I work at A&M, and sometimes I have to walk across campus to another building to pick something up. When this happens, my wallet and ID and LTC card are all in my pur...

Re: SB11 Implementation at A&M College Station
I hope that he is just "all talk". I guess time will tell. I had a brief conversation with him this morning (nothing gun related) and I'm carrying a Sig P938 IWB at 2:00, and he never gave any kind of indication that he noticed it. I can see it, looking in the mirror, but I doubt anyone el...

Re: SB11 Implementation at A&M College Station
I also attended one of the sessions at Rudder. It was very nice to see that UPD seems to be on our side. :anamatedbanana I feel for those guys these first few weeks. I hope they don't have to deal with too much crap. One of the profs in my dept told me flat out that if he sees a gun or even a bulge ...

Re: Waiting for Campus Carry...
:thewave It is exactly like a Wally Walk all over again. I'm glancing down constantly nervous that I'm printing. It's a great day for Texas! Got a little excited this morning getting dressed, trying to decide what to "wear". It's silly, actually. I carry almost all of the time except at wo...

Re: Adjusting clothing in public bathroom mirror
There are no single stall bathrooms in my building, unfortunately. I guess I'll just have to be more deliberate about adjusting in the stall.
Thanks for the insight!
