Re: Armed protestors show up for meeting of Mom's against gu

I heard that they were actually doing a march, and that parking lot happened to be the starting location. The way the news is reporting it, they were protesting the anti-gun group, which I am not sure was really the original intention.

Re: WTB .22 revolver

If you don't have any luck finding a used one, you may consider a Heritage Rough Rider. They sell new for around $200 ($220 at Bass Pro), and seem to be pretty decent for what they are.

Re: The most important article you will read

One thing my CHL instructor said that I remember to this day is to tell the first cop you see that you want the criminal arrested, even if he is laying dead on the ground. The rationale was that in court if they ask the cop what happened, he would repeat what you said in front of the jury.

Re: UN Arms Trade Treaty DOA in US Senate

As far as I can tell, they can hold onto the treaty in "limbo" until they think they can get it passed. They don't even have to resubmit it to the Senate each new Congress, it can just sit in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The treaty is not valid unless "by and with the Advic...

Re: Ammo

Don't go to Ray's Hardware in Dallas because they are not selling ammo unless you are buying a new gun and then you are still limited. :banghead: Academy has decent prices and there no limit on anything other than .22LR. Pretty good selection of guns and powder at Ray's(when they have it), but I've...

Re: Date night gone wrong

Should have left her there. I disagree. There is no point in making yourself out to be the bad guy through your actions, only to justify her hysteria regarding "gun nuts". I think he did the honorable thing, and ensured none of his actions warranted her response to discovering his pistol....

I'd been thinking about how I could justify a trip and the revolver to my wife for a couple days.

Re: Warning: D.C. cops under orders to arrest tourists with

Must be something in the D.C. water......I was talking to an EX-FRIEND from D.C. about my carry license, requirements for a TXCHL, etc. and showing her my latest gun purchase and she said she felt safer around criminals with guns than citizens carrying guns with a CHL because the criminals "kn...

You could always use an escrow service as well to hold the cash until the item is delivered.

Re: Gun belt advice?

I'm very happy with my belt from Old Faithful Holsters. I got the kit and just left it unfinished and wipe on some neatsfoot oil once in a while (which has darkened it up a bit). Overall it has stayed pretty stiff without the reinforcement. What size is your belt? If I remember correctly when readi...
