Re: Open carry legislation

I can only wish. Open carry is not for me, but I would like the opportunity and not have to be so concerned as to whether my shirt rides up over my weapon.

Well...I have to say that I agree with this. I think Frankie might have been a bit blunt, but I have to admit the truth. I have carried without a CHL... a shotgun and two pistols for years and drove drunk with them in the car. I have also been pulled over with this ridiculously illegal combination ...

Its a decision I made when I applied for my CHL. If I have even the hint of alcohol on my breath, I absolutely will not carry. Not even if I only have a beer. They way I view it...if you get pulled over, its entirely up to the discrection of the officer. And his discretion might suck. So if I'm drin...

OWB is more comfortable, but it takes very little for you to expose the pistol or holster. A strong breeze, bending over, whatever.

Personally I use a C-TAC slide from http://www.comp-tac.com

IWB, conceals easily, rides great. Plus their customer service is awesome.

I made the mistake of mentioning it at my office. A few of the other IT geeks were talking about going and getting their CHL about the same time I was scheduled to get mine. I told them the day and time I was taking the class and they should join me. Never happened. But they all knew I went and did ...

Started out to be a bad day.

My day started out bad. I had to take my cat to a specialist in College Station. Before I ever made it home all the cats teeth had been removed and my Glock 26 fund took a severe hit. I was at $385 saved up. Now the fund is at -$415. Yup....$800 to remove all the teeth. So I pulled into the h...

They waited about two weeks longer than me to mail theirs. I had to flat aggravate them to get them to finish the paperwork. And even then I had to help them and mail them myself.

So they will probably get theirs in early April.

I hear ya on the birthday...mine is coming up soon also. Although another year would have been nice I don't think I could have taken much more waiting!
Very true. I've been anxious about this ever since I mailed it off. Now I have the agonizing wait of waiting on the plastic.

It has been 50 days, 3 hours, 48 minutes and 30 seconds since I mailed my application. This means I should have plastic in the next few days. On the flip side...its kind of a bummer. My...

I can't wait but I am also waiting on my Springfield Loaded that I had to send in for the sights being a off to the left at 7 yds. Since it was going to be there any way I am ha...

I feel your pain, codecowboy  Maybe I can have my CHL sent to your address and we can take turns waiting at the mailbox. No sense both of us standing at the curb in the cold and rain. Oh that's a bad idea. Because I'd get this packet from DPS and tear it open to find your plastic. That ...

Standing by the mailbox is tiring & you are going to get wet today if you live in East Tex. Pitch you a tent there get a bucket to sit on, or better still relax in the house. There you can practice draw & dry fire, break in the holster & get it adjusted to height & cant, get used to...
